Thought For the Week Beginning 20th April 2026
We have recently been buying compost, even to the point but you could justifiably ask have we got shares in the compost company!
Some of the compost is for new projects and will fill new pots; however, some of it is to refresh existing ‘beds’ etc.
Refreshing the ground reminded me that many things need refreshing; perhaps it was that room that needed re-decorating; new tyres on a car; a glass of water that has become warm or tepid… and so I could go on.
We too need refreshing on occasion; and a holiday or a pastime often hits the spot; and what about the church of which we are a part of.
This morning before writing these words I have been preparing for our growth meeting on Thursday afternoon; we will not be looking at huge, massive great steps but something perhaps best described as little tweaks here and there.
That is probably true for us also as individuals; sometimes we're not looking at great master plans, but rather small adjustments here and there.
Psalm 62: 1 says:
“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him”
A recognition that true refreshing comes from God.
It’s a thought!
